MGCCC Update

All Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College employees should report to respective campuses/centers on Wednesday, September 3.

Wednesday night classes will meet at all locations as scheduled on September 3. All classes will resume on Thursday, September 4. Dormitories will open at the Perkinston campus at 3 p.m. Wednesday, September 3.

The MGCCC football game against Itawamba Community College has been rescheduled for Saturday, September 6 at 7 p.m. in Fulton, MS.

Classes Canceled

All MGCCC campuses, centers and dormitories will be closed, and classes will be canceled Tuesday, September 2nd.

Official announcements about possible evacuation plans and shelter openings, as well as a hurricane preparedness guide, are available at the Mississippi Emergency Management website at www.msema.org.

Tropical storm advisories and storm tracking information are available from the National Hurricane Center at www.nhc.noaa.gov.

Gustav - Notice of Preparations

MGCCC administrators are receiving weather advisories from various sources and are preparing campuses and centers for Hurricane Gustav and its possible effects.
