Exactly, Im in jackson listening to the news saying not to come home untill thursday at the earliest. Will absences be counted against us that heed this advice? Seems un-fair to us that evacuated!!

What about the associate degree nursing students. We are supposed to start clinicals on Thursday. Do we go to the school or to the hospitals.

There's a previous thread called "Alternate MGCCC Web Site", all the ADN questions are answered in the comments.

I have a question. For people that have hybrid classes. I was told to check the website for assignments and what not, but I am not able to get to the site to check. Can anybody help me get to this site please.

I know that the email accounts are working now, but the "myclassroom" site is still having some difficulties. The IT dept is working diligently to resolve the issues, so please be patient.

As an instructor myself, I postponed due dates for assignments in my classes so as not to penalize any student that evacuated and to allow for any system problems to be resolved. All of the instructors are in the same boat too...we cannot access the information either!

As for absences, don't worry...you will not be dropped from the class in the event that an evacuation caused your inability to attend. The Handbook says that excused absences are permitted at discretion of the instructor and are not counted as absences.
